Toe River Crafts is gearing up for the 2013 season on Friday May 3rd for their 39th year. The shop had it's annual workday/jurying on April 6, we had a rather productive morning getting the shop ready for opening day including putting on a new roof! This took most of the morning and we would like to thank Bob Early and Kevin Freeman for helping us, we could't have done it with out you. We would also like to welcome Linda Giles and her knitted creations to the shop(these are some of her hats). Her hats, scarfs, and shawls will be a welcome addition to the shop.
On Friday May 25th the craft will once again be hosting our annual Garden Show. This show is really fun for us, we will have plants, herbs, and vegetable plants for sale as well as garden themed works from our members. The opening reception will be held on May 25th from 3-5pm. The show will be up through Memorial Day weekend, Friday May 25th- Monday May 27th, it will remain up through the month of June. Local farmers and florists will be contributing to this years Garden Show, Pat Thibodeaux will have perennials for sale, Joe Hollis will be selling local herbs, and Jim Stockwell will have vegetable plants. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public, all are encouraged to come.
We are located at 6274 Highway 80 South, 7 miles south of Micaville. Stop by and meet some of the artists and enjoy the work of this years Garden Show.
